Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2025: Intake Capacity

• Each OAV has two sections per class, with an intake capacity of 40 students in each section.
• The main entry point for admissions is Class VI.

4. Application Guidelines

• Students may apply to only one OAV Official website and for one class per academic year.
• Applicants should apply to the OAV within their native block. Exceptions exist for blocks without desired classes.
• Continuing students in any OAV are not eligible for re-admission.
• State government or PSU employees’ wards may apply to an OAV within their block of residence or employment.

5. Reservation Policy

Reservation criteria are block-specific, ensuring seats based on social and gender categories:

• Social Category: Seats are reserved per SC/ST population percentages in each block (see Annexure B).
• Gender: 50% of seats in each category are reserved for girls.
• Transfer Policy: In case of unfilled seats in a category, vacancies may be transferred as per a predefined order (Table 2).
• PwD Quota: 5% of seats are reserved for students with benchmark disabilities (with a 40% or more disability certification).
• MLA and MP Recommendations: Seats are available under recommendation for eligible students of Hon’ble MLA and MP (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) constituencies. Additional seats are reserved under exceptional circumstances for orphans and employees’ children by the District Magistrate and Collector.

6. Admission Process

Admission to Class VI will be conducted across 314 functional OAVs for the 2025-26 session. Students interested in joining OAVs must take the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Entrance Test (OAVET). The OAVS follows a merit-based admission process where applicants will be shortlisted based on their OAVET results and reservation category.
