Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification required for OSSC LTR Teacher Recruitment 2024 is as follows:
(I) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Science (PCM / CBZ):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science / B. Tech / B.E. with two school subjects (as per criteria below) from a recognized university with at least 45% marks for SEBC / SC / ST / PWD / Sportsperson / Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others. And Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)
- OR Four-year Integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. with two school subjects, with 45% marks for SEBC / SC / ST / PWD / Sportsperson / Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others. Subjects:
- For TGT-Science (PCM): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
- For TGT-Science (CBZ): Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology.
(II) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Arts:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Commerce or Shastri (Sanskrit) Degree from a recognized university with two school subjects (as per criteria below) and 45% marks for SEBC / SC / ST / PWD / Sportsperson / Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others. And Bachelor in Education (B. Ed)
- OR Four-year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. from a recognized university with similar subject and percentage criteria. Subjects:
- English, Odia, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Polity.
(III) Hindi Teacher:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as an Elective / Optional / Honours subject with 45% marks for SEBC / SC / ST / PWD / Sportsperson / Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others.
- Must hold one of the following:
(i) Hindi Shikshan Parangat,
(ii) B.H.Ed.,
(iii) B.Ed. in Hindi from an NCTE-recognized institution.
(IV) Sanskrit Teacher:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as an Elective / Optional / Honours subject with 45% marks for SEBC / SC / ST / PWD / Sportsperson / Ex-Servicemen and 50% for others.
- Must hold Shiksha Shastri (Sanskrit) from a recognized institution.
(V) Telugu Teacher:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject with 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PWD / SEBC) and Telugu B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
(VI) Urdu Teacher:
- Alim / Fazil with 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PWD / SEBC) and B.Ed. in Urdu from an NCTE-recognized institution.
- OR B.A. in Persian with the same criteria.
(VII) Physical Education Teacher (PET):
- +2 or equivalent qualification with 45% marks (50% for others) and C.P.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. from a recognized board or university.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 38 Years
- Candidates must be born between 02/01/1986 and 01/01/2003.
- Age relaxation applies as per government rules.
