Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 30 years as of November 1, 2024
- Age relaxation:
- OBC: +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms
- AAI Regular Employees: +10 years (+5 for SC/ST, +3 for OBC)
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 for SC/ST, 38 for OBC)
- Ex-Agniveers: +3 years; +5 years for the first batch of the
- Agnipath Scheme
Educational Qualification
- Option 1: Class 10 + 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Fire Engineering
- Option 2: Class 12 Pass
Driving License Requirements
- A valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence or
- A valid Medium Vehicle Licence issued on or before November 1, 2023, or
- A valid Light Motor Vehicle Licence (LMV) issued on or before November 1, 2022
(Note: Candidates must obtain a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence within one year of appointment if selected.)
Physical Standards
- Men:
- Height: ≥ 167 cm
- Weight: ≥ 55 kg
- Chest: 81 cm (normal), expandable by 5 cm
- Women:
- Height: ≥ 157 cm
- Weight: ≥ 45 kg
- Relaxation for hilly area candidates:
- Height: -3 cm
- Chest: -3 cm (male)
Vision Standards
- Distance Vision: 6/6 for each eye without glasses
- Near Vision: N-5 without glasses
- Other Requirements:
- No colour or night blindness
- No refractive errors or chronic diseases

Selection Process
The selection process comprises the following stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
