Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Sociologist post should have:
- Graduation in Humanities from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the development sector directly with forest communities and village-level institutions.
- Ability to speak and understand the local language is preferable.
- Candidates must be able to speak, read and write Odia.
Age Limit
As on 31 March 2026:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 50 Years
- Date of Birth will be considered as recorded in the HSC certificate issued by BSE Odisha or an equivalent certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council/Indian University.
- No upper age relaxation is provided for this engagement.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Candidate must have a good character.
- A married candidate must not have more than one spouse living, subject to applicable rules.
- Candidates must meet the requirements of the engagement.
- Candidates debarred from recruitment examinations by the concerned department for a specified period will not be eligible during that period.

Salary / Remuneration
Selected candidates for the Sociologist post will receive approximately:
₹25,000 per month
The remuneration includes applicable GST/service charges, ESI, EPF and other charges as mentioned in the advertisement.
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Written Test
- Walk-in Interview
- Document Verification
- Counselling for choice of facility
The written test and walk-in interview will be conducted on 23 October 2026 at the office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Kalahandi North Division.
The walk-in interview will be conducted after completion of the written test on the same day and at the same venue.

- Attach a self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card or other valid identity proof such as Driving Licence, Voter ID or BPL Card.
- Place the application in a closed envelope.
- Submit it in the Drop Box provided at the office.
- Alternatively, send the application through Post/Courier Service.
- The application must reach the concerned office on or before 15 October 2026 by 5:00 PM.
